Purgatory

Purgatory, as in, “The Place of Getting Clean.”
This is a sculpture of a man on his knees, praying and vomiting. His feet form a cup shape beneath his praying hands, and the pool of vomit forms a perfect circle that touches his praying knees. This sculpture looks grotesque and dirty, but then, getting clean often does.
